Japanese media firm Kadokawa Company has acquired ACQUIRE, the studio behind Sq. Enix’s Octopath Traveler video games. Kadokawa says ACQUIRE will function as a completely owned subsidiary, and says it intends to “generate synergies” throughout all of its owned recreation growth subsidiaries, specifically FromSoftware and Spike Chunsoft.
